Gold nanoparticles have excellent physical, chemical and optical properties, along with a property called surface plasmon resonance. This feature enhances absorption and scattering of visible light, making gold nanoparticles useful in the medical field, for catalytic processes, in cosmetics, pharmaceutics and others.
Our production process uses a solution with dissolved gold salts of gold chloride or gold acetate to produce gold nanoparticles. In order to prevent the particles from agglomerating, these may be stabilised in a liquid with a number of stabilization agents depending on the application of use. Additional drying with lyophilisation removes the liquid by evaporation, leaving behind only stabilised dry nanoparticles.
